Message From Nia - Elements of Life
Posted Feb 11 2010 by Pam |
I've been asked to post the following message from Nia Peeples. __________________
Hello to all you dedicated Fame fans! I am so excited about this next adventure that I had to write to you personally. I wanted to let every one know that I have started a whole new website and teleseminar series dedicated to living a wonderful, exciting life. Fame was such an extraordinary experience for me, one that set the tone for the way I live my life. Reaching for your dreams, over coming adversity, believing in yourself, these were major themes of Fame. Having been lucky enough to experience those ideals at such a young impressionable age, those beliefs carried me through all the adversity of attempting to succeed in Hollywod and in life. It is the only show in my entire career, that filled me with such hope in my future and belief in myself, and I believe it is the same for all of Fame’s dedicated audience. Having waited 25 years to find and become a part of another tv show that brought such inspiration to it’s audience, but to no avail, I decided to create something myself. It’s called Elements of Life. It’s a website and a 12 part seminar where like-minded people can come for inspiration, sharing, and just plain fun.
Please come and join me. I haven’t been excited about anything like this since Fame. Come join me. Let’s grow this together and make this our new second home!
Can’t wait to see you there!
Blessings,
Nia Peeples niaselementsoflife.com

Erica Gimpel Fame The Musical Judge
Posted Jan 25 2010 by Pam |
RTÉ Television and Screentime ShinAwil have launched Ireland's biggest ever musical theatre talent search.
The search, which will be featured in the 10-week television show 'Fame The Musical', aims to find male and female stars for a nationwide tour of the West End production.
Leading the search for the new musical theatre stars will be stage producer Robert C Kelly, actor and director Simon Delaney and actress and singer Erica Gimpel, who starred as Coco Hernandez in the original 'Fame' television series.
Auditions for the show are due to take place in Dublin, Cork and the heart of the West End in London. For audition information, click here.
Edit: I found another article about Erica's participation.

A fan's story: Nia, Jesse and Cynthia in Italy!
Posted Jan 17 2010 by Roberta |
Hi everyone, this is Greg's story about her Fame-filled experience last December. She went to see Nia, Jesse and Cynthia on two of the three concerts they held in Italy. The shows took place: on FRY 4TH at DISCOCLUB LE PALAFITTE – SULZANO (BS); on SAT 5TH at FUORIORARIO – TANETO DI GATTATICO (RE); on SAT 12TH at TABATA DISCOCLUB – SESTRIERE (TO). Greg was at the last two shows.
Greg (that is, Barbara) is an old member of the FameForever forum who has not the chance to surf the net as often as she would like to...also, she claims her english is too rusty (which of course it isn't ), so I volunteered to translate her story for you all. Enjoy!
FameForever friends…those who remember me and those who don’t know me…though I can’t participate in the forum like I used to anymore, I can’t help sharing with you the joy and the enormous luck that befell on me lately, on two occasions that will stay with me forever… One of my lifetime dreams came true and my eyes still sparkle…who would have possibly thought that, more than 20 years later, I’d have had the chance of seeing, listening to, meeting, and most of all sharing some moments with Nia Peeples, Jesse Borrego and Cynthia Gibb, some of our Kids from Fame??

Win Fame DVD and Fender Starcaster Guitar
Posted Jan 13 2010 by Pam |
OK Magazine is having a contest to win a Fender Starcaster Electric Guitar as well as the recently released Fame 2009 DVD.
I tried to enter but for some reason my entry wouldn't go through due to the captcha code. Even when I'd enter the correct verification code, it would give me an error saying the code was wrong. So, hopefully those of you who enter will have better luck with the form.

Michael Cerveris Radio Interview
Posted Dec 24 2009 by Pam |
Michael Cerveris did a radio interview earlier today with Robin Milling of Blog Talk Radio.com's Let's Do Lunch! Listen to the interview here. Cerveris chats with Milling about everything from how he came to shave his head, why he named his dog Gibson, nudity on stage and blogging about it, to 'faking it;' all while dining over dim sum at John's Shanghai in the heart of the theater district.
Also, Michael is currently starring in the play In the Next Room or The Vibrator Play as Dr. Givings.
