Debbie Allen visits Dellwood

Students at Dellwood Middle School are in for a very special treat today when award-winning US dancer, actress, director/producer and author Debbie Allen attends a special assembly at 2 p.m.
Miss Allen, who arrived in Bermuda yesterday with her daughter, Vivian Nixon, is to be honoured at the National Dance Foundation of Bermuda's (NDFB) annual fundraising gala tomorrow evening.

Learning From Performers

Actor/vocalist Michael Cerveris will conduct two performance workshops for Harvard undergraduate actors Monday (February 26th) at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Observers are welcome, and admission is free.

Debbie Allen Honored

Acclaimed US dancer, actress, singer, director and choreographer Debbie Allen is to become the first recipient of the 'Catherine Zeta-Jones Award for Legends in Dance'.
The Hollywood actress will present the award to Miss Allen in person when both attend the National Dance Foundation of Bermuda's (NDFB) fund-raising gala, 'A Night of Dance', at the Fairmont Southampton Resort on February 24.
The NDFB's annual black-tie gala will again be hosted by Miss Zeta-Jones, who is an active member of the Board, and also awards scholarships in her name at the end of each NDFB summer intensive programme.

 

Nia Peeples joins The Young and the Restless

Actress Nia Peeples ( Walker, Texas Ranger , Fame ) will play Karen Taylor, Nikki's (Melody Thomas Scott) campaign manager. She began taping on March 12 to with her first episode to air on April 18.

Express Yourself

Lewis Black, Michael Cerveris, Adriane Lenox, Rob Morrow, Kelli O'Hara, Ron Rifkin, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Paul Rudd, Sherie Rene Scott, Grant Shaud, and Mary Testa are some of the artists who will perform at Express Yourself, a benefit for the Our Time Theatre Company, to be held at 7pm on Monday, April 23 at NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.
