Inaugural Concert: A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Posted Jan 21 2008 by Pam

I know this is kind of late but I didn't find out about this until today.

WELSH composer Karl Jenkins will be honouring Martin Luther King, Jr during a major concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall tonight. The event will open with the world premiere of Jenkins’s Hymn In Memoriam: Martin Luther King, Jr. Conductor Jonathan Griffith will lead cellist Lori Singer and the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra International in this work.

Great to know that Lori is still around with her cello thumbsup - it's a while since I last heard of her playing. And being the lead cellist is something, I guess!
