See the movie Fame on the Big Screen in New York

Fame,” the 1980 musical that tackles issues of self-esteem, sexuality, drugs, friendship and stardom, will screen in New York City as part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ “Monday Nights with Oscar®” series on Monday, July 21, at 7 p.m. at the Directors Guild of America Theatre. A post-screening onstage discussion will feature two-time Academy Award®-winning composer Michael Gore.

Tickets for “Fame” in NYC are $5 for the general public and $3 for Academy members and students with a valid ID. Tickets may be reserved by calling 1-888-778-7575. Depending on availability, tickets may be purchased in person on the night of the screening. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. All seating is unreserved. The DGA Theatre is located at 110 West 57th Street in New York City.
