Danny's father doesn't support his desire to be a comedian. He feels he is wasting his time, so to prove that he can do it, Danny gets a job at a club doing a comedy routine, late at night! To keep up with his work schedule and school he begins taking "uppers" to stay awake. Eventually his friends help him by getting him out of a bad situation and helping Danny's father see how good Danny really is.
